Alessandra Ambrosio was born on April, 11th, 1981 in Erechim, Brazil. Her origin is Italian-Polish. At the age of 8 she decided to become a photo model. Her first steps in model career Alessandra made at the age of 12 when she went to courses for models. At 15 she won in national competition Elite Model Look after which she received a contract.
