Alexis Bledel was born on September, 16th, 1981 in Houston, Texas. Her father, Martin Bledel, comes from Argentina; mother, Nanette, from Mexico. Spanish was her mother tongue. Parents of Alexis took her to amateur theatre when she was eight to help their daughter to cope with shyness. The promising young actress played in various performances. In a local shopping centre she attracted the attention of an agent searching for young talents and she got a job of a model. Alexis studied at St. Agnes Academy in Houston. Bledel studied in Page Parkes Center for Modeling and Acting and during a year at the New York University where she specialized in cinema before received a role in “Gilmore Girls”.
