Origin Coventry, West Midlands, England

Clive Owen was born on October, 3rd 1964 in Coventry, England. In 1967 his father, a country-singer, left the family. Clive and his four brothers were brought up by his mother and stepfather, a cashier at a local railway station. Since he was 13 Clive played in a youth theater and in 1984, having lived for two years after leaving school on the unemployment benefit, entered the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where he studied together Rebecca Pidgeon, Serena Harragin, Mark Womack and Liza Tarbuck.
He studied for three years and after graduation in 1987 the young actor was accepted in the troupe of London theatre Young Vic. There he played in Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” the role of Romeo. At the same time he began dating his partner Sarah-Jane Fenton who played the role of Juliet. In March, 1995 they got married and are still together. The couple has two daughters — Hannah and Eve. The same year he debuted in the film “Vroom”, a history about two guys travelling with a beautiful widow by car. During several years the actor worked much and productively on TV, acting in films and serials. First recognition was brought to him by a television costume melodrama “Lorna Doone” in 1999. But the actor became really popular in 2003. Since then Owen has been acting in profit-making films. Certainly he is not a super star yet. And people do not go to watch a film only because of his name. But nevertheless he is doing his best and most likely next 2-3 years he will shine even more
