David Beckham was born on May, 2nd 1975 in Leytonstone, London, England. David’s parents were fans of English football club “Manchester United”. David inherited from parents love to football and to this club. The elder Beckham loved football and played for local club and since birth David considered game №1 as the main component of a real Englishman’s life. The boy’s first toy was a ball and for holidays he regularly got new sets of “Manchester United” form. In childhood father began to take the son to games of more adult children and even to trainings with the men’s team and when David happened to fall and started to moan he punished him explaining that football is a severe game and he had to get used to roughness. Beckham Jr. often played football ground with older children. Gradually the boy outgrew the level of his peers at least he stood out among them.
During his childhood he played for several neighboring teams. Strange as it is but there his talent wasn’t paid any attention but in one of children’s tournaments it was noticed by Malcolm Fitzgerald… He came up to his parents and suggested trying the guy in “MU”. Certainly parents were delighted to have such a chance and the 11-year-old David went to the North of the country with Fitzgerald. The boy was accepted and would be regularly invited to training sessions and in London Fitzerald watched the successes of the young talent. In some years the telephone rang in the house of Beckham and on other end he heard the voice of the great sir Alex Ferguson who suggested the 16-year-old boy’s parents signing a training contract. His first summer on training sessions far from home was difficult but David quickly got used to it. Moreover he had a nice company. He played with Nicky Butt and Gary and Phil Nevill. In September, 1992 Ferguson took the young players to the cup match and in the middle of the second time David for the first time appeared on the field having replaced Andrei Kanchelskis on the right flank. David was so excited that while warming up before playing he jumped up and hit his head on bench roof. In January 1993 David was offered a professional contract in starting lineup of “MU”. Then “red devils” had already lost chances for struggle continuation but there was a home match left and trainer’s council decided to check up the doublers. David was among them and in half an hour he scored a goal. And it was the goal which opened all the doors for David in future.
