His parents divorced in 1985 and then both found new spouses. His mother, who now is the director of entertaining company Just-in Time Entertainment, married a banker Paul Harless when Justin was 5. At this time his father, a conductor of chorus in a Baptist church, also married, and his second wife Lisa gave birth to their two sons.
Justin’s stepsister Justin Laura died being a baby; Justin named her “My Angel in Heaven” in his confession. His first steps in music career Justin made on television show “Star Search”, singing songs in country style under the name “Justin Randall”. Since childhood his idols were Al Green and Michael Jackson whose dancing movements he tried to imitate. By twist of fate, his first solo album was substantially made of the material which Jackson had refused to record. Another idol of young Justin was Elton John. Later Timberlake played the role of young Elton in his clip for the song “This Train Don’t Stop Here Anymore”. Since 1993 Justin acted in children’s show The Mickey Mouse Club where he got acquainted with the future group mate vocalist JC Chasez, and also with Christina Aguilera and with the future girl-friend — Britney Spears. When in 1995 the show ended, Justin invited Chasez to a new boys-band which soon became known as ‘ N Sync. He debuted in the cinema performing the role of an imaginary star Jason Sharpe who fell in love with a waitress. This television film “Model Behavior” was shown Disney Channel.
